The Opportunity

You'll collaborate closely with other full-stack engineers, offering mentorship to junior team member and lead the way in resolving intricate back-end challenges that shape our future.
What You'll Be Doing
Engineering Leadership
- Design and lead the implementation of a modernised backend architecture
- Refactor legacy code into clean, reusable, and well-documented components
- Drive performance, scalability, and security improvements across the stack
- Champion the adoption of React Server Components and other modern frontend capabilities
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Lead by example in PR reviews, pair programming, and design sessions
- Mentor junior engineers and elevate the bar for code quality across the team
- Shape engineering culture by embedding testing, CI/CD, and release best practices
Customer-Centric Development
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to build features that matter
- Support customer onboarding and adoption of new frameworks with technical expertise
- Contribute to customer support when needed—yes, even our CEO and CTO do
Our Stack
- Backend: Node.js, Express, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch
- Frontend: React
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, MSW
- Infrastructure: AWS (serverless), Terraform, Docker
- APIs: REST
You’ll Thrive Here If You Have:
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development
- Production experience with Node.js, React, and AWS
- Strong architectural instincts and a track record of setting technical direction
- The ability to write clear technical documentation and thoughtful design docs
- A bias for action and the confidence to work autonomously on complex problems
- Experience working in fast-paced environments (startups, scale-ups, or lean teams)
- You use AI as a productivity enhancer.
Bonus Points
- Experience building SaaS or subscription products
- Exposure to enterprise customer environments
