What are Category A, B and C games in football?
How clubs grade fixtures by demand, and why it changes price, access and points.

TL;DR
Clubs grade home games as Category A, B or C (sometimes more bands) based on expected demand. The category sets ticket prices and often how many loyalty points a game earns.
What does “Match categories (Category A, B, C)” mean?
Category A games are the highest-demand fixtures, such as derbies and games against the top sides, so they cost the most and are hardest to get. Category C games are the least in demand and the cheapest. Some clubs use letters, others bands or colours, and cup games often have their own pricing.
How does it relate to football membership?
Categories shape the membership offer. Members often get the only realistic chance at Category A tickets through priority windows or ballots, while clubs use extra points or discounts for Category C games to fill the stadium. Being clear about which categories each tier can access is one of the easiest ways to explain the value of an upgrade.
How Limio helps
Limio lets clubs package category-based benefits into membership tiers and add-ons, for example a tier that unlocks Category A access windows, and pass those entitlements to ticketing.
