What are membership tiers in football?

Different levels of membership at different prices, each unlocking more access and benefits.

TL;DR

Membership tiers are the different levels of a club's membership, each priced differently and unlocking a different set of benefits, most often earlier ticket access.

What does “Membership tiers” mean?

A typical UK club offers two or three adult tiers plus junior, senior and international versions. The higher tier usually adds an earlier ticket access window, a season ticket waiting list position, bigger retail vouchers or extra content.

At Tottenham Hotspur, for example, One Hotspur+ adds an extra 24-hour ticket access window and a Season Ticket Waiting List position on top of standard One Hotspur.

How does it relate to football membership?

Tiers are how a club turns one product into a ladder. Good tiering gives fans a clear reason to step up, lets the club price for different levels of commitment, and creates natural upgrade moments during the season, not just at renewal.

How Limio helps

In Limio, each tier is a subscription plan with its own price, entitlements and add-ons, so the commercial team can launch, reprice or bundle tiers without a development project. Fans can upgrade in their self-serve account and the change flows to ticketing and the CRM.
